IRS Questionnaire Update
Three hundred and sixty of the 1,200 401(k) plan sponsors who have received the IRS's Compliance Check Questionnaire had least partially completed the document by mid-June, according to an article posted at PlanSponsor.com.
The article includes "answers to questions the IRS said it has received regarding the data collection effort" such as:
- May a plan sponsor designate someone else to fill out the questionnaire?
- For which specific plan year should plan sponsors provide the requested data?
